Q. What is the AIR MILES Program?
A. The AIR MILES Reward Program is a revolutionary program that enables you to earn travel miles on normal, everyday purchases. AIR MILES travel miles can be earned when buying goods and services at participating Sponsor companies. When you have collected a number of travel miles equal to the distance you wish to fly, you simply call the AIR MILES Customer Service Centre and fly away on any one of North America’s four leading airlines: Air Canada, American Airlines, United Airlines or US Air.
Q. Is there an annual fee?
A. No. Currently, enrolment in the AIR MILES Reward Program is absolutely free.
Q. What is the value of each AIR MILES Travel Mile?
A. Each AIR MILE travel mile is equal to one mile of free air travel on any supplying air carriers’ designated routes.
Q. How long does it take to earn a free flight?
A. Below is an example of how many AIR MILES travel miles an average household can reasonably expect to collect in two years:

Q. IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF AIR MILES TRAVEL MILES NEEDED TO FLY?
A. The minimum redemption level is 500 AIR MILES travel miles per ticket.
Q. HOW FAR CAN I TRAVEL WITH 500 AIR MILES TRAVEL MILES?
A. 1 AIR MILES travel mile = 1 MILE OF FREE AIR TRAVEL
All tickets must be for round trip travel. With 500 travel miles, you can purchase a round trip ticket to a destination 250 miles from the originating centre.
Q. WHAT DOES “PIGGY BACKING” MEAN?
Piggy Backing” means that you will be able to earn bonus AIR MILES travel miles from one transaction. For example, when the participating credit card is used to make a purchase from a participating AIR MILES Sponsor, you will earn AIR MILES from both the credit card and the retail Sponsor. This process enables you to accumulate AIR MILES travel miles even more quickly.
Q. IS THERE AN EXPIRY DATE ON AIR MILES TRAVEL MILES? DO YOU HAVE TO USE THEM BY A CERTAIN DATE? WILL YOUR AIR MILES ACCOUNT BE CANCELLED IF YOU DO NOT USE YOUR TRAVEL MILES, SAY WITHIN A YEAR?
A. There is no expiry date on AIR MILES travel miles. However, should your account remain inactive for two years, you will be contacted through your bi-monthly statement. You can then redeem your AIR MILES travel miles or resume your account activity. If your account remains inactive for two or more statement periods following two years of inactivity, it will be cancelled.
Q. HOW DO YOU ENROLL IN THE AIR MILES REWARD PROGRAM?
A. Enrolment in the AIR MILES program is free and easy. You can send in an enrolment form by mail (or ask your CENTURY 21 Agent to do so on your behalf) or call one of the enrolment lines. These operate from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday (closed Saturday, Sunday and holidays). The enrolment number for use in Canada is: 1-800-563-4108.
The quickest method is to access www.airmiles.ca online and complete the enrolment form. You will receive your new collector kit and card in two to three weeks.
